Oasis En-Gadi

is a registered, Mexican charity started by Gail Robins in 1997. Today we continue to work with street kids but now mostly work with children at risk of maltreatment and with those who are one step away from street life.

We have a children’s home in Guadalajara for up to 12 boys where we try to give the boys as normal a family life as we can.

Here’s what the boys say:

"They show me lots of love." - Poncho

"They give us everything we need." - Christian

"We can play football and Xbox." - Edgar

"They look after us like parents should in my home." - Luis

Oasis En-Gadi is focused on street kids and children at risk in Mexico.

Rescuing, Restoring and Reintegrating Street kids and Children at Risk in Mexico.

About the Project

Oasis de NFI Mexico A.C. (our legal title) began in 1997 when a young English woman felt moved to go to Mexico to begin a work amongst the poor.

Gail Robins the founder of Oasis En-Gadi spent her first year in Guadalajara learning the language and culture before setting up the charity.

Gail says...

"Over the years we have seen Oasis En-Gadi develop from just a couple of people with a few sandwiches visiting kids on the streets, to an established and respected project which has housed and touched hundreds of children. It is a privilege to work with such a committed and faithful team who are always ready to sacrifice themselves on behalf of children who have no where else to turn."

About Oasis En-Gadi

Mission

We believe that all children should be able to enjoy a childhood free from fear and maltreatment. To that end we want to facilitate them being Rescued from abuse or potential abuse.

Restore them in the sense of helping them get healed up from the past.

See them Reintegrate into a happy childhood and all that is implied there with positive family contact (where possible).
